Dear Rambler,

I am an 8th grader who is going to be a freshman next year, and I am going to summer school this summer before school starts. I am really upset that I have to take 3 years of my whole summer to continue school. Ugh, please help, how do I make it seem more exciting?

From, Summer Student

Dear Summer Student,

Summer school is so fun! First of all it is only half of a day, the teachers are all so nice, and best of all, you get to see me everyday when I come visit all the classes and camps!! I say that is a pretty good BARKain. Also, since it is a half-day, you can go to the pool right after school gets out! How great is that? It may seem scary and stressful but half of the name is “Summer,” so I don’t really see how it can be that awful. I say just give it your best shot because you will be finished with it before you know it and into your summer vacation. Plus it’s worth it in the long run because you get more FREE PERIODS!! Sorry I got to go wish a happy last day of school to all the students now!!

Sincerely,

Rambler

Dear Rambler,

I have just one question, what type of dog are you?

Sincerely, Wondering

Dear Wondering,

Well if you didn’t already know, I am the best kind of dog, duh. But if you want the real facts I am a “Border Terrier.” Also, did you know that I am hypoallergenic, which means if you are allergic to dogs, you aren’t allergic to me because I don’t shed, which just makes me more of the superior dog. Got to go for now, this little Chihuahua I just met thinks he is better than me, he’s not.

Sincerely,

Rambler

Dear Rambler,

Since you can type, I am assuming that you are a pretty smart dog, so why don’t you go to classes and graduate Westminster? That would be awesome if you were in the same class as me!!

Sincerely, Eager Student

Dear Eager Student,

That is a very good question, and a very good question to ask Mr. Scoot, but unfortunately he said that it wasn’t a very good idea. He said that he understood what I was saying, but I do agree with him. I would distract the other students with my superior traits and the teacher would have such a hard time teaching me. Also, I wouldn’t be able to get away with the “my dog ate my homework” excuse anyway. Got to go now, my brain food awaits.

Sincerely,

Rambler
