Positives During this Pandemic

Even though concerts are being postponed, sporting events are canceled, schools are shut down, and you are stuck inside away from friends if you look on the bright side, families who have parents who travel or work full time, are getting closer and spending time they did not have together before COVID-19.

It also gives you time to yourself to settle down from school, sports, and any other tiring struggles. Time to know yourself and maybe find a new hobby. Since we are spending our days at home why not learn how to cook, play games with your family, watch new shows or movies you have been wanting to but did not have the time, redesign your room, go swimming if you can, lay in the sun, play sports in your backyard, dye your hair, and just simply look on the bright side.

The more people who stay inside and obey the rules of isolation, the quicker things can go back to normal. “Although remaining inside is a good way to protect yourself and others from the coronavirus, and is an important measure to help “flatten the curve” of daily cases that put pressure on our health care system, it could lead to a lesser evil: boredom and stir craziness,” said USA Today. Do your part and stay inside and every day to day activity will go back to usual quicker.

All of us are getting extremely bored because we have never had this much time to do what we would like, so just make the most out of it. “These cancelations give me an opportunity to focus on some things I’ve had no time for and to accelerate my progress on other product offerings,” said Forbes. We can choose to sit around and morn over what we have lost and be unproductive or try to find the positives and find new enjoyable activities to fill our time with.

My experience with this pandemic has been a struggle. At first, I had the wrong view of the situation. We honestly have it pretty good because we are not in hospital right now dealing with this virus. Right now we are doing a good deed and stoping the spread by staying inside. My dad bought us a few painting materials, and I have had so much fun just exploring art itself. I have also been swimming, going in the hot tub, and laying in the Sun a tan. Although I really miss my friends, school, teachers, and my usual daily routine. I have learned to take advantage of this period And make the most out of it.
