Han Solo is one of the main characters in The Star Wars Series, and he is finally getting a spin off. “He is the most intense character in the series,” said Margaret R., a seventh grade girl. During the Super Bowl, Solo, the newest Star Wars movie, was announced and will be released this summer, just six months after The Last Jedi.

George Lucas was the owner of Lucasfilm, until he sold it to Disney for four billion dollars in October 2012. Disney now owns full rights to all the Star Wars films and television shows. Disney is helping carry on the legacy by making more tv shows and movies.

Star Wars has been around for 41 years, and the new owners are not planning on stopping now. Disney started making movies after they bought the franchise, and they made spinoffs of the main six, starting with The Force Awakens in 2015, then Rogue One in 2016, and The Last Jedi in 2017.

Sadly, Harrison Ford will not continue to portray the character; instead Alden Ehrenreich will be the universal smuggler.

One of the main characters in this movie is Lando Calrissian. This role was not central in the original six. Donald Glover is playing Lando in the movie. Glover, a rapper and an actor, is the main character in Atlanta, a tv show.

Star Wars has made seven billion dollars since it was introduced. The revenue of the past three movies has increased since the original six. The Last Jedi, which came out in December 2017, has a 91 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomato. Vincent B., a seventh grade boy, says that The Last Jedi is a captivating movie because of all of the action.

Margaret disagrees. She said, “I think that Star Wars is getting worse because they are getting more off topic from the originals, and there is a lot more action, which I don’t like.”

Many people have different points of view, but most agree that The Star Wars Series is one of the best ever.
